As I kept trying to put together an OOTP movie parody, the Deathly Hallows seemed to call out to me instead: "Parody us!" The golden age age of Harry Potter fandom was back around the time of books 3 and 4 -- when it was already a Big Thing that everybody knew about, but JKR hadn't yet agreed to any merchandising deals, and the first movie was still something anticipated; we could sit around on the beach and wonder how they were going to manage the Quidditch scenes.
